Safety Precautions
General Safety: Always wear eye protection. Keep the work area clean and well-lit. Do not operate in explosive atmospheres. Keep children and bystanders away.
Electrical Safety: Ensure the power source matches the tool's nameplate. Use a residual current device (RCD) with a rated residual current of 30 mA or less. Do not abuse the power cord.
Operation Safety: Always use the provided guard. Do not use damaged accessories. Ensure the rated speed of the accessory is at least equal to the maximum speed of the grinder. Hold the tool by insulated gripping surfaces when performing operations where the cutting accessory may contact hidden wiring.
Operation

- Start-up: Ensure the switch is in the OFF position before connecting to power. Confirm the push button is disengaged before switching on.
- Grinding: Do not overload the machine by applying excessive pressure; the machine's weight is usually sufficient for effective grinding.
- Stopping: The wheel continues to rotate after the tool is switched off. Do not put the tool down until the wheel has come to a complete stop.
Maintenance
- Motor: Regularly blow air through the tail cover air hole while the motor runs without load to remove accumulated dust and dirt.
- Carbon Brushes: Inspection and replacement must be performed ONLY by a HiKOKI Authorized Service Center.
- Power Cord: If replacement is necessary, it must be done by an authorized service center to avoid safety hazards.
