The Hoftronic CALI LED High Bay is a professional lighting fixture designed for commercial and industrial indoor use. This manual covers the installation, safety requirements, and maintenance of the product. Ensure all installation work is performed by a qualified electrician with the power supply disconnected.
Safety Instructions
Failure to follow these instructions may result in fire, burns, electric shock, or physical injury. Please adhere to the following:
- Power Supply: Ensure AC/Mains power is disconnected and cannot be reconnected during installation.
- Qualified Personnel: Installation must be performed by a qualified electrician in compliance with local electrical and safety regulations.
- Grounding: The product must be grounded.
- Usage: For indoor use only. Do not cover the product.
- Thermal Protection: The housing may become hot during operation. The product features automatic thermal shutdown if the temperature becomes too high; it will turn on automatically once cooled.
- Restrictions: Not for use by minors or individuals with mental disabilities.
- Cable: The external flexible cable cannot be replaced; if damaged, the luminaire must be destroyed.
Installation
The luminaire can be installed using two methods:
Hook Mounted
- Lock the ring onto the luminaire.
- Hang the luminaire on a secure hook capable of supporting the weight (Chain load capacity > 30kg).
Bracket Mounted
- Attach the trunnion mount bracket to the ceiling or structure.
- Secure the luminaire to the bracket using the provided screws.
- Ensure proper mechanical fastening before use.
Wiring
Connect the wires according to the standard electrical color coding:
- L (Live): Brown
- N (Neutral): Blue
- Ground: Yellow/Green
Ensure the connection is secure and the cable diameter is appropriate for the cable gland to maintain the IP65 protection level.
Maintenance
- Perform maintenance only when the power is off and the product has cooled down.
- Clean using only soft, dry cloths. Do not use chemical detergents.
- The product is non-demountable and not suitable for independent repairs.

Common problems
Product shuts down automatically
This is a safety feature. The product will automatically turn back on once it has cooled down.
Housing is hot
The housing may become hot after operation; this is normal. Ensure free air access and do not cover the product.
Before use
- Ensure AC/Mains power is disconnected.
- Verify the installation surface/construction is strong enough to support the high bay.
- Ensure the product is grounded.
- Check for proper mechanical fastening.
- Ensure the cable diameter matches the cable gland to maintain IP65 rating.
