Assembly
- Ensure you have all parts: 1 top lantern, 1 metal pole, and 1 base pot with decorative branches.
- Connect the pot, metal pole, and top lantern. Ensure the plugs of the light strings between the sections are connected with the correct polarity.
- Shape the topiary by straightening the branches and fanning out the tips.
- Step back to check for gaps, shift branches as needed, and slightly upsweep branch tips for a uniform look.
- Plug the adaptor into a wall outlet.
- If the clear plastic windows have shifted during transport, open the lantern door and slide the windows back into place.
Stabilization and Safety
To prevent the lantern from tipping over and sustaining damage in windy areas, tie the tree to a stable structure. Add weight to the pot by filling it with sand or small gravel through the top opening. Do not add water into the pot.
