This guide provides installation and programming instructions for the Honeywell Voyager 1450g (corded) and 1452g (cordless) area-imaging scanners. Note that PDF and 2D bar codes are only supported by 145Xg2D models. Scanners are factory-programmed for common settings; use the bar codes in this manual to customize configurations.
Connecting the device
The scanner can be connected via USB, Keyboard Wedge, RS232 Serial Port, or RS485. Ensure the correct interface cable is used for your terminal. For cordless models, the CCB01-010BT base must be connected to power and the host system. Cables should be secured in the wireways at the bottom of the base.
Cordless system operation
Cordless scanners link to a base or Access Point. To link, place the scanner in the base or scan the linking bar code on the Access Point. The system supports multiple scanner operation (up to 7 scanners per base). Batch mode allows data storage when out of range, which can be transmitted once back in range.
Programming and settings
The scanner is programmed by scanning specific bar codes found in this manual. Settings include interface selection (USB, RS232, etc.), keyboard country layouts, and symbology configurations. Custom defaults can be saved and restored as needed.
Maintenance and troubleshooting
Keep the scanner window clean using a soft cloth dampened with water or a mild detergent solution. Do not use solvents or abrasive materials. If the scanner is not functioning, check cable connections, power supply, and ensure the correct symbology is enabled. For cordless systems, verify the battery is charged and the scanner is properly linked to the base.

Common problems
Scanner not reading symbols
Ensure the scanner window is clean, the symbol is not damaged, and the symbology is enabled in the scanner settings.
Scanner not linked to base (cordless)
Place the scanner in the base to establish a link. If it fails, check that the base has power and the scanner battery is charged.
Bar code data not entered into application
The scanner may need a suffix (like a carriage return) programmed to simulate the Enter or Tab key.

- Charge the battery for at least 4 hours before initial use (cordless models)
