The Husqvarna 115iL is a battery-powered grass trimmer. Before use, ensure the battery is fully charged and the trimmer head is correctly attached. Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including eye and hearing protection, gloves, and sturdy boots. Keep a safety distance of at least 15 meters from bystanders.

Product overview

The trimmer consists of a trimmer head, cutting attachment guard, telescopic shaft, loop handle, keypad, power trigger, and battery holder. The keypad includes a start/stop button, SavE button, and warning indicators.

Safety instructions

• Personal Safety: Always wear approved eye protection (ANSI Z87.1 or EN 166) and hearing protection. Use sturdy, non-slip boots and long pants.
• Work Area: Inspect the area for loose objects like stones, glass, or wire before starting. Keep children and bystanders at least 15 meters away.
• Battery Safety: Use only Husqvarna BLi batteries. Do not expose the battery to rain, extreme heat, or microwaves.
• Maintenance: Always remove the battery before performing any maintenance or assembly.

Assembly

• Trimmer Guard: Assemble the guard and secure it with the bolt through the trimmer head housing.
• Trimmer Head: Align the hole in the drive disc with the gear housing, insert the locking pin, and turn the head counterclockwise.
• Loop Handle: Install the screw into the handle, attach it to the shaft, and tighten. Adjust the position as needed.

Operation

• Charging: Connect the battery to the QC80 or 40-C80 charger. The battery is fully charged when all LEDs are lit.
• Starting: Press and hold the start/stop button until the green LED lights up. Then, push the power trigger lockout and the power trigger.
• SavE Function: Press the SavE button to activate power-saving mode. This does not reduce cutting power.
• Trimming Techniques: Hold the trimmer head at an angle just above the ground. Move the product from side to side. Use full speed for cutting and 80% throttle when working near objects.

Maintenance

• Schedule: Perform daily checks on controls, cutting attachment, guards, and battery connections.
• Cleaning: Clean the product, battery, and charger with a dry cloth after use. Do not use water.
• Trimmer Head: Replace the trimmer head if damaged. Ensure the trimmer line is wound tightly and evenly.

Troubleshooting

• Keypad Errors: If the error LED flashes, the cutting attachment may be overloaded (cannot move freely) or there is a temperature deviation.
• Battery Errors: If the error LED flashes, check for low voltage, temperature issues, or voltage mismatch.

Technical data

The 115iL features a BLDC motor with a 5500 rpm output shaft speed and a 330 mm cutting width. Weight without battery is 3.45 kg.
