The JBL Club 64SQ is a 6-1/2 inch (160mm) 2-way car speaker system. This guide provides essential information for installation, wiring, and configuration. Before beginning the installation, ensure you have the necessary tools and verify the mounting depth and cutout diameter of your vehicle's speaker location.
Installation
The installation process involves assembling the speaker components and securing them into the vehicle panel. Refer to the exploded view diagram for the correct order of parts (A through H). Ensure the speaker is securely fastened using the provided screws. When mounting, pay attention to the 'SPEAKER SIDE' orientation indicated in the installation diagrams to ensure proper fitment.
Tweeter level adjustment
The speaker features a built-in tweeter level switch located on the front of the unit. You can toggle the tweeter output between 0dB and +3dB to suit your listening preference and the acoustic environment of your vehicle. Ensure this is set before finalizing the installation.

Tweeter output is too low or high
Adjust the tweeter level switch on the speaker face to either 0dB or +3dB based on your preference.
Speaker does not fit in the mounting hole
Verify your vehicle's mounting cutout diameter is 128.3mm and the mounting depth is at least 51.5mm.

- Verify the mounting location depth (51.5mm).
- Ensure the speaker cutout diameter matches 128.3mm.
- Check polarity (+/-) when connecting speaker wires.
