The Lightpro Agate 102U is a 12V LED ground spot designed for outdoor use. Proper installation is critical for longevity, specifically regarding drainage and electrical connection. Always ensure the system is powered off before performing maintenance or replacing the light source.
Installation
Follow these steps to install the ground spot:
- Dig a hole at the desired location.
- Provide a layer of gravel of about 45 cm at the bottom of the hole to ensure rainfall drains away and to reduce the risk of rising groundwater.
- Pull the cable through the hole in the tube.
- Place the fixture into the tube.
- Connect the fixture's plug to the main cable using the provided connector.
Important: Never place ground spots directly in holes without drainage. Install them on a flat or elevated surface. If the product has a drain hole, ensure it points downwards.
Replacing the light source
If the light source needs to be replaced, follow this procedure:
- Switch off the transformer.
- Allow the light source to cool down for at least 5 minutes.
- Use the provided hex key to unscrew the 4 screws at the bottom of the luminaire.
- Replace the light source.
- Tighten the 4 screws back into place.
- Switch the transformer back on.
Note: Ensure the rubber ring is completely clean before replacing the glass to maintain water resistance.
Safety and maintenance
- Cleaning: Clean the product regularly with a soft, clean cloth. Do not use abrasives, high-pressure washers, or aggressive chemical cleaning agents.
- Stainless Steel: Clean parts with stainless steel cleaning agent once every 6 months.
- Electrical: This is a Class III product; connect only to safety extra-low voltage (max 12V).
- Environment: Suitable for ambient temperatures between -20 °C and 50 °C. Do not use in areas where combustible gases, fumes, or liquids are stored.
- Access: Always install the product so it remains accessible for servicing. Do not permanently embed or brick it in.

Practical help
Common problems
Water ingress or drainage issues
Ensure the hole has a 45cm gravel layer for drainage and that the rubber ring is clean before reassembling the glass.
Light not turning on
Check the 12V connection to the main cable and ensure the transformer is powered on.
Surface damage
Avoid using high-pressure washers or abrasive cleaning agents; use a soft cloth.
