Safety Cautions

Attaching and Detaching the Lens

Attaching: Align the index mark on the lens barrel with the index mark on the camera mount. Insert the lens into the mount and rotate it clockwise until it clicks and locks into place. Do not press the lens release button while mounting.

Detaching: First, attach the front lens cap. While holding down the lens release button on the camera body, rotate the lens counterclockwise until it stops, then separate the lens from the body. Attach the rear lens cap.

Focusing Modes

The lens supports various focus modes depending on your camera settings:

• AF-S (Single-Shot AF): Focus locks when the shutter button is pressed halfway; ideal for motionless subjects.
• AF-C (Continuous AF): Focus adjusts continuously while the shutter button is held halfway; ideal for moving subjects.
• AF-A (Automatic AF): Camera automatically switches between AF-S and AF-C based on subject movement.
• DMF (Direct Manual Focus): Allows manual focus adjustment after autofocus has locked.
• MF (Manual Focus): Allows manual adjustment by rotating the focus ring; useful when autofocus is not ideal, such as in macro shooting.

Lens Hood

The included lens hood helps prevent contrast-reducing flare and glare. To mount, align the white index mark on the hood with the white index mark on the lens and rotate clockwise until it clicks into place.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Before cleaning, use a lens blower or soft brush to remove dust and grit. For stubborn spots, use one or two small drops of reputable lens cleaner on a microfiber cloth and wipe in a circular motion. Do not use organic solvents such as paint thinner, alcohol, or benzene.
