Power Head (PBLPH01)
The power head is designed to be used with various Ryobi Expand-It attachments. Assembly: Attach the front handle to the upper shaft using the provided bolt and wing nut. To attach an accessory, loosen the knob on the coupler, push the button on the attachment shaft, align it with the guide recess, and slide the shafts together until the button locks into the positioning hole. Tighten the knob securely.
Operation: Insert the battery pack until the latches snap into place. Select the desired speed (HI or LOW), move the lock-out into the switch trigger slot, and depress the trigger. Always hold the power head with both hands, keeping the rear handle at about hip height.
Trimmer Attachment (PBLSS01)
The trimmer attachment features an adjustable cutting diameter (13 in. to 15 in.) and a 2-in-1 head for line trimming or blade use. Assembly: Install the grass deflector before connecting the attachment to the power head. To switch between bump feed and fixed line/blade housing, remove the bump feed housing by pinching the tabs and install the desired head.

Operation: Advance the cutting line by tapping the bump knob on the ground while the motor is running at full speed. For manual advancement, stop the motor, remove the battery, and push the bump knob while pulling the line.
Maintenance
Always remove the battery pack before cleaning or performing maintenance. Clean the unit with a dry cloth; do not use water or strong detergents. Periodically inspect for loose fasteners or damaged parts. Store in a dry, well-ventilated area inaccessible to children.
Safety
Always wear eye and hearing protection. Keep bystanders at least 50 ft. away. Do not operate in poor lighting or on excessively steep slopes. Keep all body parts away from moving parts and hot surfaces, such as the motor housing.
