The Sanela SLS 02TAB is an automatic shower control system with a thermostatic mixer, powered by 6V batteries. The system uses an infrared sensor to detect the user and activate water flow. Key operations include automatic start/stop, adjustable sensor range, and programmable flush intervals for hygiene. Ensure the water pressure is within the specified range of 0.1 - 0.6 MPa before installation.
Device description
The unit consists of an in-wall control box with an integrated thermostatic mixer and an infrared sensor. It is designed for vandal-proof operation. The system requires a 6V power supply (batteries) and is compatible with various Sanela accessories, including vandal-proof shower heads and remote control units for configuration.
Installation
Installation must be performed by qualified personnel. Follow these steps:
- Ensure the wall is prepared with the correct depth for the control box (0-6 mm for tiling).
- Connect the hot and cold water supplies to the designated G 1/2" inlets.
- Mount the control box securely into the wall.
- Install the battery pack in the designated compartment.
- Connect the electrical cables from the sensor to the solenoid valve, ensuring correct polarity.
- Seal the installation area with silicone to prevent water ingress.
Operation
The shower activates automatically when a user enters the sensor range (0.3 - 0.7 m). Water flow stops automatically when the user leaves the range or after the safety shut-off time is reached. The system can also be operated in a manual start/stop mode if configured.
Parameter settings
Parameters can be adjusted using the SLD 03 remote control or the Sanela Control mobile application. Adjustable settings include:
- Shower activation delay: 0 - 15 seconds.
- Time safety shut-off: 10 - 310 seconds.
- Hygienic flush interval: OFF / 6 / 8 / 12 / 24 / 48 / 72 / 168 hours.
- Hygienic flush duration: 5 - 1200 seconds.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance is required to ensure proper operation:
- Battery replacement: Monitor battery status via the indicator. When capacity is low, replace the batteries.
- Cleaning: Keep the sensor window clean.
- Maintenance shut-off: Use the integrated shut-off valves to stop water flow during maintenance or repairs.
- Sieve cleaning: Ensure the water supply sieve (mesh size <= 90 µm) is clean to prevent flow restriction.

Common problems
Shower does not activate
Check if the sensor range is obstructed, ensure the battery is not depleted, and verify electrical connections.
Water temperature is incorrect
Adjust the thermostatic mixer settings manually.
Water flow stops unexpectedly
Check the time safety shut-off setting; the system may be reaching its maximum run time.

- Verify water pressure is between 0.1 and 0.6 MPa.
- Ensure the sieve mesh size is <= 90 µm.
- Install fresh 6V batteries.
- Check that the wall depth allows for the 0-6 mm tiling clearance.
