The Sanela SLS 03SB is a wall-mounted shower control with an integrated thermostatic mixer and infrared sensor. This guide covers the essential installation, operation, and maintenance steps required for proper functionality. Installation
The unit is designed for wall mounting with standard G 1/2" connections. Ensure the water supply pipes are spaced exactly 150 mm apart.
- Ensure the water pressure is within the range of 0.1 - 0.6 MPa.
- The sieve dimension must be ≤ 90 µm to prevent clogging.
- Follow the installation sequence: connect the water supply, install the wall covers, mount the control unit, and connect the shower hose.
- Insert the 9V (U9VL) battery into the designated compartment.
Operation and Settings
The shower is activated via an infrared sensor. The sensor range is adjustable between 0 and 0.75 meters.
- Activation: The shower starts when the user is detected within the sensor range.
- Automatic Stop: The water flow stops automatically after a set time (factory setting is 310 seconds).
- Hygienic Flush: The system supports a hygienic flush to prevent bacterial growth. Both the interval (e.g., 6, 8, 12, 24, 48, 72, 168 hours) and the duration (5 - 1200 seconds) can be adjusted.
- Parameter Adjustment: Settings can be modified using the Sanela Control application or the SLD 03 remote control.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and hygiene of the shower control.
- Battery Replacement: Monitor the battery capacity. When the capacity reaches 0%, the battery must be replaced. The system provides visual indications of battery status.
- Cleaning: Keep the sensor area clean. Ensure the sieve is free of debris to maintain proper water flow.

Common problems
Shower does not activate
Check if the battery is depleted (replace if necessary) and ensure the user is within the sensor detection range (0 - 0.75 m).
Water flow stops unexpectedly
The automatic shut-off timer may have been reached. Check the 'Time Safety Shut-off' settings.
Low water flow
Check the sieve for debris. The sieve dimension must be ≤ 90 µm.
Before use
- Verify water pressure is between 0.1 and 0.6 MPa.
- Ensure pipe spacing is 150 mm.
- Install a fresh 9V (U9VL) battery.
- Clean the sieve before installation.
- Read the attached Safety Instructions.
