This document provides installation and maintenance instructions for the Sanela SLKN 01 (AISI 304) and SLKN 01L (AISI 316L) stainless steel floor drain troughs designed for swimming pools. Before starting the installation, it is essential to read the attached safety instructions. Ensure the installation surface allows for a minimum 1% slope towards the drain to ensure proper water flow.
Supplied equipment
The package includes the main drain trough, mounting components, and necessary hardware. Please verify all parts against the provided list in the manual before beginning assembly. The SLKN 01 and SLKN 01L models differ in material grade and specific part numbers for components.
Installation
- Ensure the installation area is prepared and the ground is level.
- Connect the grounding wire to the designated point on the drain body.
- Position the drain trough and use a spirit level to ensure it is perfectly horizontal.
- Adjust the height of the support legs to achieve the desired level and slope.
- Drill 8 mm holes for the dowels at the marked positions.
- Connect the waste pipe (diameter 50 mm) to the drain outlet.
- Secure the drain using the provided screws and dowels.
- Apply concrete around the drain body to fix it firmly in place.
- Ensure a minimum 1% slope in the surrounding floor towards the drain.
- Install the tile trim profile (if applicable) and finish the flooring.
