The Scangrip AREA 6 CONNECT is a versatile work light designed for professional use. It features a 360-degree beam angle and is compatible with various 18V battery systems via the Scangrip Connector system, or it can be powered directly using a Scangrip power supply.
Safety and Warnings
- Always respect applicable legislation for working with electrical equipment to reduce the risk of accidents.
- Avoid looking directly into the beam of light to prevent dazzling.
- Do not use the lamp near a naked flame.
- The light source is not replaceable; when it reaches the end of its life, the entire luminaire must be replaced.
Battery and Power Compatibility
The lamp is designed for use with 18V Metabo CAS batteries. It is also compatible with 18V batteries from other major manufacturers (such as Bosch, DeWalt, Makita, Milwaukee, etc.) by using the specific Scangrip Connector for that battery brand. Alternatively, a Scangrip power supply can be used instead of a battery.
IP Ratings
The lamp has different IP protection ratings depending on the power source used:
- IP54: When used with a Scangrip power supply.
- IP30: When used with a CAS battery.
Disposal
Discarded electrical products must not be disposed of with household waste. Please use designated recycling facilities or consult your local authority or retailer for advice on proper disposal.

Common problems
Lamp does not turn on
Ensure the battery is charged or the power supply is correctly connected. Verify that the correct Scangrip Connector is being used for your specific battery brand.
Light source failure
The light source is non-replaceable. If it reaches the end of its life, the entire unit must be replaced.
Before use
- Check that you have the correct Scangrip Connector matching your 18V battery pack.
- Ensure the battery is fully charged or the power supply is available.
- Verify the environment is suitable for the current IP rating (IP30 for battery, IP54 for power supply).
- Inspect the lamp for any accidental damage before use.
