Product Overview

The Sealey 10QJ.V5 is a heavy-duty 10-tonne long reach trolley jack designed for professional workshop use. It features a robust chassis, a one-piece hydraulic unit, and a foot-operated quick-lift system for efficient positioning. The jack is equipped with a large diameter saddle and a handle-mounted safety release to prevent accidental lowering.

Safety Requirements

DANGER: This jack is intended for lifting only. Never use it as the sole means of supporting a load. Always transfer the vehicle to suitable axle stands before performing any work underneath.

• Operate only on level, solid ground, preferably concrete. Avoid tarmacadam surfaces.
• Ensure the vehicle handbrake is engaged, the engine is off, and the transmission is in gear or PARK.
• Use wheel chocks to prevent vehicle movement.
• Maintain a minimum distance of 0.5m between the vehicle and static objects to allow for tilting.
• Never exceed the 10-tonne rated capacity.
• Do not use brake fluid in the hydraulic system; use only approved hydraulic jack oil.

Assembly and Initial Setup

To assemble, insert the handle into the clamp and secure it by tightening the clamp bolt. Ensure the locking lever is engaged in the top position to keep the handle vertical. Before the first use, purge air from the hydraulic system by opening the release valve (turn anticlockwise), holding the saddle down, and pumping the handle rapidly several times.

Operation

Ensure the locking lever is in the upper jacking position before pumping. Position the saddle under the manufacturer-recommended lifting point. Use the foot pedal to quickly raise the saddle to the load, but do not use the pedal to lift the load itself. Close the release valve by turning it clockwise until resistance is felt. Pump the handle to raise the vehicle to the desired height. To lower, slowly turn the release valve handle anticlockwise; the speed of descent is controlled by the degree of rotation.

Maintenance

Maintenance must be performed by qualified personnel. Keep the jack clean and lubricated. Every three months, grease the lifting arm pivot pin and rear castors via the provided grease nipples. Check the hydraulic oil level only if necessary by removing the top cover and using the rubber bung on the cylinder. For service or repairs, contact a local service agent.
