Quick guide from the manual
This document provides essential safety, assembly, and operational instructions for the Sealey AB1008.V4 space heater. Always ensure the heater is used in well-ventilated areas and never in closed living spaces. The unit is designed for use with clean kerosene or diesel fuel only.
Assembly
Follow these steps to assemble the heater:
- Insert the wheel shaft (E) into the caster fixing plate (J) and secure with the cotter pin (I).
- Place plain washers (F) on both sides of the shaft, slide the wheels (D) onto the shaft, and secure with nuts (G).
- Install the wheel covers (H).
- Attach the handle (A) to the caster fixing plate (J) using the clamping screws (C) and plain washers (B).
Operation
Start-up: Fill the tank with clean diesel or kerosene. Connect to a 220-240V earthed power supply. Switch the power to ON. The default temperature is 20°C; adjust the thermostat knob if a different temperature is required. The heater will ignite automatically after 7 seconds.
Shut down: Move the switch to OFF. Never disconnect the power while the heater is running; allow the cooling sequence to complete to prevent internal damage.
Safety and Maintenance
Safety Warnings: Never cover the heater or block air inlets/outlets. Keep away from flammable materials. Do not use in basements or below ground level. Always allow the unit to cool for at least 15 minutes before performing maintenance.
Maintenance: Seasonal checks by qualified personnel are recommended. This includes cleaning the nozzle, inspecting air filters, and checking ignition electrodes. Compressor pressure is factory-set to 0.31 bar and should only be adjusted by a qualified technician.
Troubleshooting
If the heater enters lock-out mode (E1 on display), check for fuel issues, clogged filters, or overheating. To reset, turn the switch to 0 and then back to I. For LC error codes (3 failed ignition attempts), switch the power ON 3 times within 10 seconds to unlock the PCB.
