Important Information
The Sicce Jolly is an automatic plastic submersible heater designed for fresh and marine water aquariums, paludariums, and turtle tanks. Never plug the heater into the power supply until it is fully submerged in water. Always create a drip loop with the power cord to prevent water from traveling along the cable to the electrical outlet.
Safety Instructions
- Indoor use only: Do not install or store where exposed to weather or freezing temperatures.
- Drip Loop: Always arrange the power cord so that a loop exists below the level of the outlet. This prevents water from dripping onto the plug or socket.
- Damage: Do not operate if the cord or plug is damaged. The power cord cannot be replaced; if damaged, the unit must be discarded.
- Supervision: Not intended for use by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities without supervision.
- Hot Parts: Do not touch the heater while it is in operation.
Installation
- Check the voltage on the heater label to ensure it matches your power supply.
- Attach the provided suckers to the heater.
- Place the heater inside the aquarium in a position with good water circulation, preferably near a source of water movement to ensure even distribution of warmed water.
- Ensure the heater remains fully submerged at all times.
Operation and LED Indicators
The heater automatically increases water temperature according to the capacity of the tank. The LED on the tube indicates the heater's status:
- LED ON: Heater is in operation.
- LED OFF: Thermal protection is activated.
If the heater is extracted from the water or reaches a fixed temperature, the thermal protection will automatically switch it off after a few minutes. For safety, unplug the heater and let it cool for at least 15 minutes before removing it from the water.
Maintenance
The heater requires no maintenance other than periodic cleaning of the tube to remove salt incrustations and algae. Use only water and vinegar for cleaning. Do not use chemical cleaners, solvents, or acids. Do not attempt to disassemble the heater or pull on the power supply cable.
