This guide provides essential information for the Sunco 5/6" LED Selectable Gimbal Retrofit Downlight. Before starting, ensure you have the light fixture, TP24 connector, and E26 base. Safety Warning: Turn off the circuit breaker before installation. This product is not compatible with 3rd party sensors, photo controls, occupancy sensors, or timing devices. It is suitable for damp locations but not for direct water exposure.

Installation



- Preparation: Turn off the circuit breaker and remove the previous fixture. Allow the fixture to cool if it was recently on.
- Adjust Brackets: Determine the size of the can opening (5" or 6"). Loosen the screw on the spring brackets, shift to the 5 or 6 position, and tighten the screw.
- Wiring: Determine the connector type available (TP24 or E26) and connect the wires.
- Color Selection: Use the switch on the back of the retrofit to select one of five color temperatures (2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, 5000K).
- Mounting: Line up the trim ring with the opening and push the downlight into the can. Ensure both ends of each spring are installed into the C-clips. Tuck all wires into the can.
- Adjustment: Adjust the gimbal position to aim the light. The gimbal rotates 350° and tilts 45°. Turn on the circuit breaker to test.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues, check the following:
- Light not turning on: Verify proper connection and ensure the circuit breaker is not tripped.
- Light not bright enough: Check for proper wattage and ensure the fixture is not obstructed.
- Flickering: Check that wiring connections are secure, ensure the circuit is not overloaded, and verify the fixture is grounded.
- Buzzing: Check for nearby interference (e.g., TVs, radios) and ensure the light is connected to a surge protector if power outages occur.
- Dimming issues: Ensure the minimum dimmer load requirement is met and verify dimmer compatibility.
