This guide provides essential instructions for installing and configuring the Uniview 0235UNC2 Dual Lens Video Doorbell. Before starting, ensure you have the necessary tools: an electric drill, hammer, and #1 and #2 Phillips screwdrivers. Always disconnect the power supply before beginning any installation or wiring work.

Product Introduction

The doorbell features a main camera, sub-camera with illuminators, microphone, speaker, and a doorbell button. A reset button is located on the back; press and hold it until you hear a beep to restore factory defaults. The device uses an LED indicator to communicate status, such as network configuration or connection failures.

Installation Preparation

For optimal performance, install the doorbell on the wall next to the main gate, as close to the router as possible to maintain a strong Wi-Fi signal. The package includes flat and inclined mount brackets to adjust the viewing angle. Use the provided drill template to mark holes at a recommended height of 1.2m from the ground.

Wiring and Power Kit

The wiring process depends on your chime type:

• Mechanical Chime: Requires the included power kit. Connect the power kit connection cables to the TRANS and FRONT terminals inside the mechanical chime.
• Wireless Chime: Follow the specific wiring instructions provided in the manual, ensuring the fuse wire is connected correctly between the doorbell and the external power cable.

Always ensure the power supply provides a stable voltage (12V AC to 24V AC) and that the device is properly grounded.

Mounting the Doorbell

1. Drill two holes (depth at least 25mm, diameter 6mm to 6.5mm) and insert expansion tubes.
2. Attach the chosen bracket (flat or inclined) to the wall using the appropriate screws.
3. Connect the external power cables to the doorbell terminals.
4. Align the notches at the bottom of the doorbell with the bracket and press until it clicks into place.

Pairing and Network Configuration

The doorbell requires the Guard Live app for setup:

• Download and install the Guard Live app.
• Ensure your phone has Bluetooth enabled and is connected to Wi-Fi.
• Upon first startup, the doorbell will automatically enter network configuration mode (indicated by a blinking green light).
• Use the app to scan the activation code located on the back of the doorbell or the cover of this guide.
• Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the network setup.

Indicator and Audio Prompts

• Steady red: Restoring factory defaults.
• Blinking red (once per second): Wi-Fi connection failed.
• Blinking green (once per second): Ready for network configuration.
• Blinking green (twice per second): Connected to P2P or Wi-Fi.
• Steady green: Call answered or device added successfully.

Safety and Maintenance

The device must be installed by a trained professional. Do not attempt to service the product yourself. Keep the device away from liquids, extreme temperatures, and corrosive environments. Regularly check device logs for unauthorized access and keep firmware updated to ensure network security.
