This document provides essential instructions for installing and configuring your Uniview Network Dome Camera. Key procedures include waterproofing the cables for outdoor use, mounting the camera securely, and setting up the device via the Guard Live app or a web browser. Ensure you have a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network available for wireless setup.

Waterproof Requirements

Proper waterproofing is critical to prevent device damage. Follow these steps:

• Connect all necessary cables and cut off unused copper wires.
• Use insulation tape to insulate the connection part of each cable.
• Apply self-adhesive waterproof tape: fully stretch the tape at both ends, wrap the connection part and cable ends tightly, and tighten the tape at both ends.
• Install the supplied waterproof components onto the network cable in sequence.
• Mount the rubber ring onto the network cable interface first.
• Optionally, place cables into a waterproof junction box.

Packing List

Ensure your package contains the following items. Contact your dealer if any are missing:

• Camera
• Power adapter
• Waterproof components (tape, plug)
• Screw components (screws, hex key)
• Mount accessories (drill template, bracket adapter, antistatic gloves)
• Product documents
• Bracket

Appearance

The camera features a network interface and a power interface. The tail cable design may vary by model. Always refer to the physical device for exact port locations.

Mount Your Camera

Insert Micro SD Card

1. Use a screwdriver to remove the two screws on the card cover.
2. Remove the card cover.
3. Insert the Micro SD card into the slot.
4. Replace the card cover and tighten the screws, ensuring the sealing ring is in position.
5. Format the SD card via the camera's web interface before use.

Wall Mount

1. Locate the hole positions and drill holes on the wall.
2. Hammer the expansion bolts into the holes and ensure they are tightened.
3. Lead the cables out from the bottom of the bracket and fix the bracket to the wall using four ST3.5 self-tapping screws.
4. Adjust the antenna direction, align the camera gear with the bracket gear, and tighten the M4 screw.
5. Connect all cables and apply waterproof measures.

Startup and App Configuration

Connect the power adapter to the mains and the camera's power interface. To add the camera to the Guard Live app:

• Ensure your phone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.
• Download and install the Guard Live app.
• Sign up for an account and log in.
• Open the app, tap Add Device, and scan the registration QR code.
• Follow the in-app instructions to complete the Wi-Fi connection.

Access Your Camera via Web

To access the camera through a web browser:

• Enter the default IP address (192.168.1.13) in the address bar.
• Log in using the default username and password (admin/123456).
• Change the default password immediately after the first login for security.

Network Security and Safety

To enhance device security:

• Change the default password to a strong one (at least nine characters, including digits, letters, and special characters).
• Keep firmware up to date.
• Disable unused features like UPnP, SNMP, or Multicast if not required.
• Use HTTPS/SSL for encrypted communication.
• Regularly check device logs for unauthorized access.
