This guide provides essential steps for setting up and maintaining your Uniview IP camera. Key procedures include waterproofing external cable connections, mounting the device, and configuring network access via the mobile app or web interface. Always ensure the device is installed by qualified personnel.

Waterproof Requirements

Proper waterproofing is critical to prevent device damage. Follow these steps before installation:

• Connect all necessary cables and cut off unused copper wires.
• Use insulation tape to wrap the connection part of each cable.
• Apply self-adhesive waterproof tape: fully stretch the tape, wrap the connection tightly, and tighten at both ends.
• Install the supplied waterproof components onto the network cable in sequence.
• Mount the rubber ring onto the network cable interface first.
• If a DC cable is unused, insert the plug into the interface.

Installation

Inserting the Micro SD Card

For models supporting Micro SD cards:

1. Loosen the cross-recessed screws to open the bottom cover of the camera.
2. Insert the Micro SD card into the slot.
3. Do not hot-plug the card to avoid damage.

Wall Mount

1. Knock plastic anchors into the guide holes.
2. Loosen the locknut on the universal joint.
3. Mount the camera to the wall using self-tapping screws.
4. If applicable, attach the antenna to the antenna interface.
5. Adjust the monitoring direction by rotating the spherical hinge and tightening the locknut.

Device Management

Manage on App

1. Connect your mobile phone to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.
2. Download and install the required app.
3. Power on the device and follow on-screen instructions to add the camera.

Manage on Web

1. Ensure the camera is connected to the network.
2. Open a browser and enter the default IP address: 192.168.1.13.
3. Log in using the default credentials: admin/123456.
4. Change the default password immediately for security.

Safety and Maintenance

• Precautions: Use a power adapter or PoE device that meets requirements. Do not overbend cables during installation.
• Cleaning: Remove dust from the front glass using an oil-free brush or rubber blowing ball. For grease, use anti-static gloves or an oil-free cloth with detergent. Do not use organic solvents like benzene or alcohol.
• Reset: To restore factory settings, press and hold the RESET button for at least 10 seconds within 10 minutes of powering on the device.
