The Veikous 12x16ft Aluminum Gazebo requires at least three people for safe assembly. It is critical to not fully tighten screws until the entire assembly is complete to ensure proper alignment. Before starting, verify all parts against the parts list and ensure you have the necessary tools.
Tools and assembly requirements
The following tools are required for assembly (not included in the box):
- Drill
- Allen key
- Stepladder (6.5ft or more)
- Phillips screwdriver
- Safety hat
- Safety goggles
- Gloves
Assembly steps
The assembly process consists of 29 steps, starting from the base and moving to the roof structure:
- Base and Posts: Attach the base plates (T1) to the bottom of the posts (A) using screws (U).
- Frame Assembly: Connect the frame beams (B, B1, B2) using connectors (G, C) and secure with screws (U).
- Roof Structure: Assemble the roof support beams (D, D1, D2, D3) and install the roof panels (M, M1, N, N1, N2, N3, N4) according to the specific step diagrams.
- Curtains and Netting: Install the hooks (Z) into the outer track and hang the netting (Net).
Anchoring and stability
To improve wind resistance, you must secure the gazebo to the ground. The installation method depends on the surface:
- Cement surfaces: Use the provided expansion screws (V2) to secure the base plates (T1) to the concrete.
- Grassy surfaces: Use the provided ground nails (V4) to secure the base plates (T1) into the ground.
Failure to install these anchors may cause the gazebo to topple in strong winds.
