Quick answers from the manual
Quick answer
- This manual provides instructions for the safe operation, installation, and maintenance of the Vevor cylinder pressure regulator (Model 1C020-0064-CGA200). p. 2, 3
Key actions
- Connect the regulator to the cylinder valve. p. 5
- Set the working pressure by rotating the adjusting wheel clockwise. p. 5
First start
- Ensure the pressure adjusting wheel is fully unscrewed (anti-clockwise) and downstream valves are closed before opening the cylinder valve. p. 5
Problems and fixes
Close the cylinder valve and remove from service immediately.
p. 6Maintenance and reset
- Perform regular visual inspections for damage. Ensure gaskets, O-rings, and mating surfaces are in satisfactory condition. p. 5, 6

Quick guide from the manual
This document provides essential instructions for the safe operation and maintenance of the Vevor cylinder pressure regulator. It is intended for use with compressed gases, pressurized dissolved gases, and liquid gases. Always keep these instructions accessible in the workshop.
Safety instructions
- Oil and grease hazard: Keep hands and tools clean. Oil and grease can cause an explosion on contact with oxygen.
- Unauthorized modifications: Do not modify or tamper with the regulator. Repairs must only be performed by competent personnel at an authorized service workshop.
- Leakage: If the regulator is not functioning correctly or shows signs of leakage, close the cylinder valve immediately and remove the device from service.
- Intermediary connections: Connections between the cylinder valve and the regulator are strictly forbidden.
- Usage restrictions: Do not use for corrosive gases (e.g., ethylamine, dimethylamine, ammonia) or gases in a liquid state.
Operation
Connecting the regulator
- Before connecting, open and close the cylinder valve quickly to dislodge water or foreign objects from the inlet seating. Do not stand in front of the valve.
- Check that the gasket (if used) is undamaged.
- Connect the regulator to the cylinder valve.
- Connect the hose to the regulator outlet. Use hoses compliant with EN 559 and connections compliant with EN 560, secured with appropriate hose clamps.
Setting the pressure
Before releasing gas into the system, ensure the following:
- The regulator is correct for the gas being used.
- All gauge pointers are at zero.
- The regulator is unpressurized (pressure adjusting wheel fully unscrewed/anti-clockwise).
- Downstream valves are closed.
To operate: Open the cylinder valve slowly, check the cylinder pressure on the contents gauge, open the downstream valve (blowpipe or welding gun), and set the working pressure by rotating the adjusting wheel clockwise until the required pressure/flow is reached.
Closing down
- Close the cylinder valve.
- Unwind the pressure adjusting wheel.
- Vent the pressure in the system (blowpipe or welding gun).
- Once the system is purged, close the downstream valves.
Maintenance and repairs
Protect the regulator from damage and perform regular visual inspections. Ensure all gaskets, O-rings, and mating surfaces are in satisfactory condition. The inbuilt safety valve is preset and must not be changed.

Cylinder pressure regulators with flow meter gauges
Regulators with flow gauges have an integrated throttle. If the downstream equipment also has a flow meter, remove it, as it will not be calibrated with this regulator.

Practical help
Common problems
Close the cylinder valve immediately and remove from service. Do not attempt unauthorized repairs.
Keep hands and tools clean. Oil and grease can cause an explosion on contact with oxygen.
Before use
- Check that the regulator is suitable for the gas being used.
- Ensure the cylinder valve connection is clean and undamaged.
- Verify that the regulator is unpressurized (pressure adjusting wheel fully unscrewed).
- Check that all gauge pointers are at zero.
- Ensure downstream valves are closed.
Model compatibility
- Do not use for corrosive gases like ethylamine, dimethylamine, or ammonia.
- Do not use for gases in a liquid state.
- If downstream equipment has a flow meter, remove it as it will not be calibrated with this regulator.
