This document provides essential instructions for the safe operation of the Vevor cylinder pressure regulator. Key safety requirements include operating only in well-ventilated areas, keeping the device away from oil and grease, and ensuring no unauthorized modifications are made. Always verify the regulator is suitable for the specific gas being used before installation.

Safety Instructions

• General Safety: Read the manual carefully before use. The device is not intended for use by children or persons with reduced capabilities without supervision.
• Operational Safety: Keep hands and tools clean. Oil and grease can cause an explosion on contact with oxygen.
• Prohibitions: Do not use for gases in a liquid state or corrosive gases such as ethylamine, dimethylamine, or ammonia. Do not modify the device or use intermediary connections between the cylinder valve and the regulator.

Installation and Connection

Before connecting the regulator, perform the following steps:

1. Swiftly open and close the cylinder valve to dislodge water or foreign matter from the inlet seating. Do not stand in front of the valve while doing this.
2. Check that the gasket is undamaged.
3. Connect the regulator to the cylinder valve.
4. Connect the hose to the regulator outlet. Use hoses corresponding to EN 559 and hose connections corresponding to EN 560, secured with appropriate hose clamps.

Operating Instructions

Follow these steps to set the pressure:

1. Ensure the regulator is unpressurized by screwing the pressure adjusting wheel fully out (anti-clockwise).
2. Ensure all downstream valves are closed.
3. Open the cylinder valve slowly and check the cylinder pressure on the contents gauge.
4. Open the downstream valve (blowpipe or welding gun).
5. Set the working pressure by rotating the pressure adjusting wheel clockwise until the required pressure/gas flow is reached on the outlet gauge.

Closing Down

To shut down the system:

1. Close the cylinder valve.
2. Unwind the pressure adjusting wheel.
3. Vent the pressure in the system using the blowpipe valve or welding gun.
4. Once the system is purged, close the downstream valves.

Maintenance and Repairs

• Regular Checks: Visually inspect the regulator regularly for signs of damage. Ensure all gaskets, O-rings, and mating surfaces are in satisfactory condition.
• Malfunctions: If the regulator is not functioning correctly or shows signs of leakage, close the cylinder valve and remove it from service immediately.
• Repairs: Repairs must only be carried out by competent personnel at an authorized Service Repair Workshop using original spare parts. Unauthorized repairs will void liability.
