Product Overview
The Vitodens 050-W and 100-W are wall-mounted gas condensing boilers featuring the Inox-Radial stainless steel heat exchanger and MatriX-Plus burner with Lambda Pro combustion controller. They are designed for high efficiency, quiet operation, and long service life. Both models are web-enabled for service and operation via Viessmann apps.
Installation Requirements
Siting and Installation
- Location: Must be frost-free and adequately ventilated.
- Clearances: 700 mm in front of the boiler is required for maintenance. No side clearance is required.
- Flue Gas: The flue system must be designed as short and straight as possible. For room-sealed operation, ensure the flue pipe is correctly installed.
- Gas Connection: Must be carried out by a registered gas fitter. A gas filter is recommended.
- Electrical: Requires a permanent 230V, 50Hz connection.
Condensate Connection
Route the condensate pipe with a constant fall to the public waste water system. A stench trap must be installed. If the boiler is installed below the waste water anti-flooding level, a condensate lifting pump is required.
Control Unit
The control unit is integrated into the boiler and features an HMI programming unit with a 7-segment display. It supports weather-compensated operation (requires outside temperature sensor) or constant temperature operation. It also includes frost protection functions and diagnostic capabilities.
DHW Cylinders
The Vitodens 050-W can be used with Vitocell 100-W DHW cylinders. The guide provides specifications for 120L, 150L, and 300L capacities, including performance data and connection requirements.
