Quick guide from the manual

This document provides instructions for installing a 1-Light pendant fixture. Key safety requirements include shutting off the power supply at the circuit breaker before starting and ensuring all installation work is performed by an accredited professional. Always use the specified bulb type and do not exceed the maximum recommended wattage.

Preparation for installation

Before beginning, ensure you have all parts from the yellow bag. Turn off the power at the circuit breaker and remove the old fixture from the wall, including the old mounting strap. Attach the new mounting strap (A) to the junction box using the provided mounting screws (B). Test the canopy (G) height by passing it over the canopy loop (H) and adjusting the nipple (F) until the canopy loop collar (I) fits snugly.

Assembling the fixture

Determine the desired hanging height and adjust the number of rods (J) accordingly. Feed the fixture wires from the post (R) through the rods (J), top loop (L), canopy loop collar (I), chain connector (K), canopy loop (H), and canopy (G). Pull the wires until taut and thread the rods (J) onto the post (R). Use the chain connector (K) to attach the fixture body to the canopy.

Connecting the wires

Have an assistant support the fixture's weight during wiring. Connect the fixture wires to the power supply wires from the junction box as follows:

Wiring identification diagram
Wiring identification diagram
  • Hot: Connect to the hot wire (transparent wire with black inner thread, black, or smooth wire).
  • Neutral: Connect to the neutral wire (transparent wire with white inner thread, white, or ribbed wire).
  • Ground: Connect to the ground wire (transparent wire with green inner thread, green, or copper).

Twist the ends of the wire pairs together and secure with a wire connector. If there is no house ground wire, wrap the fixture's ground wire around the ground screw (E) on the mounting bracket.

Finishing the installation

Push the canopy (G) up to the ceiling and secure it by tightening the canopy loop collar (I). Attach the shade (S) to the fixture (M) by hanging hooks (N) onto the upper (O) and lower (P) iron rings. Finally, install a light bulb (not provided) into the socket (Q) and turn the power back on to test the fixture.

Practical help

Common problems

Fixture hangs at the wrong height

Adjust the number of rods (J) used or adjust the height of the nipple (F) and canopy loop (H) during the preparation phase.

No ground wire in the junction box

Locate the ground screw (E) on the mounting bracket and wrap the fixture's ground wire around it, then tighten securely.

Canopy does not fit flush against the ceiling

Adjust the height of the nipple (F) and canopy loop (H) so that approximately half of the canopy loop's exterior threads are exposed.

Before use

  • Shut off power at the circuit breaker.
  • Ensure you have an assistant to support the fixture's weight.
  • Verify all parts are present in the yellow bag.
  • Ensure the junction box is secure.
  • Check that you have the correct light bulb (not provided).

Specs in practice

Neutral Wire
Ribbed, white, or transparent wire with white inner thread.
