This guide provides instructions for installing the Wayfair 0877-1W 1-Light Wall Sconce. Installation should be performed by an accredited professional. Always shut off the power supply at the fuse or circuit breaker before beginning. Ensure you do not exceed the maximum wattage specified for the bulb.

Preparation for Installation

Carefully remove the fixture from the carton and locate the yellow bag containing all parts. Ensure the power is off at the circuit breaker and remove the old fixture, including the old mounting strap.

• Identify the mounting strap (B) and ensure hex nuts (C) holding the mounting screws (A & D) are tight.
• Place the mounting strap (B) against the junction box and align the backplate (F) to ensure the fixture will hang straight.
• Secure the mounting strap (B) to the junction box using the mounting screws (D).

Connecting the Wires

Have an assistant support the fixture's weight while completing the wiring. Refer to the wiring diagram to connect the fixture wires to the house power supply wires:

• Hot Wire: Connect the fixture's smooth, black, or transparent wire with black inner thread to the house's hot wire.
• Neutral Wire: Connect the fixture's ribbed, white, or transparent wire with white inner thread to the house's neutral wire.
• Ground Wire: Connect the fixture's copper, bare metal, green, or transparent inner thread wire to the house's ground wire. If no house ground wire exists, wrap the fixture's ground wire around the ground screw (E) on the mounting strap.

Twist the ends of the wire pairs together and secure them with a wire connector, ensuring all twists are in the same direction.

Finishing the Installation

Once wiring is complete, tuck the wires into the junction box and proceed with the final assembly:

1. Place the backplate (F) over the mounting strap (B) so the mounting screws (A) protrude through the holes.
2. Secure the backplate using the decorative nuts (H). Adjust until the backplate is snug against the wall and the arm (G) is straight.
3. Slide the shade (J) over the socket (I).
4. Secure the shade in place by twisting the socket ring (K) onto the socket (I) using the provided socket tool (L).
5. Install the light bulb (not included) according to the fixture's specifications.
6. Turn on the power and test the fixture.

Safety and Maintenance

Always use the specified bulb type and do not exceed the maximum wattage. If replacement parts are needed, contact the place of purchase for assistance.
