To begin using your air conditioner, follow these steps:

  1. Fit Batteries: Insert two R03/LR03 batteries into the remote.
  2. Select Mode: Press the Mode button to cycle through Auto, Cool, Dry, Heat, and Fan modes.
  3. Select Temperature: Use the up and down arrows to set your desired temperature.
  4. Select Fan Speed: Press the Fan Speed button to adjust airflow.
  5. Point Remote: Aim the remote toward the indoor unit.
  6. Power On: Press the On/Off button.

Handling the Remote Controller

Inserting Batteries: Slide the back cover off, insert two batteries matching the (+) and (-) symbols, and slide the cover back on. Do not mix old and new batteries or different types. Remove batteries if the remote will not be used for more than 2 months.

Usage Tips: The remote must be used within 8 meters of the unit. The unit will beep when a signal is received. Curtains, direct sunlight, and other obstacles can interfere with the infrared signal.

Buttons and Functions

The remote features several buttons to control your air conditioner:

  • On/Off: Turns the unit on or off.
  • Mode: Scrolls through operation modes (Auto, Cool, Dry, Heat, Fan).
  • Temp (Up/Down): Adjusts temperature in 1°C/1°F increments. Pressing both simultaneously for 3 seconds toggles between °C and °F.
  • Fan Speed: Adjusts fan speed (Auto, Low, Med, High).
  • Swing: Starts/stops horizontal louver movement. Hold for 2 seconds for vertical louver auto swing.
  • ECO/GEAR: Enters energy-efficient modes.
  • Timer: Sets the timer to turn the unit on or off.
  • Turbo: Enables the unit to reach the preset temperature as quickly as possible.
  • LED: Turns the indoor unit's display and buzzer on or off.

Operating Modes

Auto Mode: The unit automatically selects Cool, Fan, or Heat based on the set temperature. Fan speed cannot be adjusted.

Cool or Heat Mode: Allows manual adjustment of temperature and fan speed. Note: Heat mode is not supported by cooling-only models.

Dry Mode: Used to dehumidify. Fan speed is automatically controlled.

Fan Mode: Circulates air without changing the temperature. Temperature cannot be set.

Advanced Functions

  • Swing Function: Press Swing to start/stop horizontal louver movement. Hold for 2 seconds for vertical swing.
  • ECO/GEAR: Press to enter energy-efficient modes. Only available in Cool mode.
  • Shortcut: Reverts to previous settings. Hold for 2 seconds to restore current settings.
  • Silence Function: Hold the Fan button for 2 seconds to activate/disable.
  • FP Function: Operates the unit at high fan speed with temperature set to 8°C/46°F (Heat pump models only).
  • Lock Function: Press Clean and Turbo simultaneously for 5 seconds to lock/unlock the remote.
  • SET Function: Press SET to enter function settings (Breeze Away, Fresh, Sleep, Follow Me, AP mode). Use Temp buttons to select and OK to confirm.

Setting the Timer

Timer On/Off: Press the Timer button to initiate the sequence. Use the Temp buttons to set the desired time. The time increases by 30-minute increments up to 10 hours, then by 1-hour increments up to 24 hours. Point the remote at the unit and wait 1 second to activate.

Screen Indicators

The remote display shows active modes, fan speed, temperature, and enabled features like ECO, Gear, Lock, and Timer. If the low battery icon flashes, replace the batteries.

Common problems

Remote not working

Check if batteries are inserted correctly. Ensure you are within 8 meters of the unit and there are no obstructions like curtains blocking the signal.

Unit not responding to a button press

Some functions are model-dependent. If the indoor unit does not support a specific function, pressing the button will have no effect.

Temperature displayed in wrong unit (°C vs °F)

Press the Temp up and down buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds to toggle the display.

ECO mode not working

ECO/GEAR function is only available in Cool mode.
