To set up your AcuRite Professional Weather Center, first ensure the A-B-C switches inside the battery compartments of both the 5-in-1 sensor and the display are set to the same letter (A, B, or C). Install batteries in the sensor and remove the rain gauge stabilizer tab. Plug the display into a power outlet using the provided adapter. Once powered, set the time, date, and measurement units using the display buttons. Place the sensor in an open area at least 5 feet off the ground, ensuring it is within 330 feet of the display.
Device Overview
The system consists of a 5-in-1 sensor and an indoor display. The sensor measures wind speed, wind direction, rainfall, temperature, and humidity. The display provides real-time weather data, forecasts, and historical records. The display features a touch-activated backlight and a Weather Ticker for scrolling information.

Setup
5-in-1 Sensor: Slide off the battery cover and insert 4 AA batteries. Ensure the A-B-C switch matches the display. Remove the plastic rain gauge stabilizer tab from the bottom of the sensor before use.

Display: Plug the power adapter into an electric outlet. It is recommended to install 6 AA alkaline batteries as a backup power source to preserve records during power outages. Note the 12-digit Device ID on the back of the display for online connectivity.
Installation
Mount the sensor at least 5 feet off the ground in an open area. Use the included mounting bracket to attach it to a wooden post or a 3/4-inch steel pipe. Ensure the solar cell faces South for optimal performance. Use the built-in bubble level to ensure the sensor is perfectly level.

PC Connectivity
The Weather Center can connect to a PC via USB to log data to a CSV file or stream data to Weather Underground. To set up, ensure the display is in USB mode 3. Download the PC Connect software from the AcuRite website, install it, and connect the display to your computer using the provided USB cable.
Operation
The system uses a Learning Mode to analyze pressure changes over 14 days to determine altitude and calibrate the weather forecast. The Weather Ticker displays various messages, which can be customized. You can set programmable alarms for various weather conditions, such as high/low temperature, humidity, or wind speed.
Calibration
If readings are inaccurate, you can calibrate temperature, humidity, and the rain gauge. For temperature and humidity, press and hold the arrow buttons and the gear button simultaneously to enter calibration mode. For the rain gauge, use a plastic cup with a pinhole to drip exactly 1 cup of water into the sensor and adjust the calibration screws on the bottom if the reading does not match 1.06 inches.
Troubleshooting
If you experience no outdoor sensor reception, ensure the units are within 330 feet and check that the A-B-C switches match. If the forecast is inaccurate, allow the unit to run for 33 days to complete the Learning Mode. For USB connectivity issues, verify the display is in mode 3 and restart the software.
Care & Maintenance
Clean the sensor and display with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use caustic cleaners. Regularly clear debris from the rain collector funnel and debris screen. If the wind vane or anemometer movement is restricted, use a small amount of spray lubricant or graphite powder.
