The bulbs support various control methods, including the Aigo Smart app, Amazon Alexa, and the Aigostar Bluetooth Mesh Gateway. Proper configuration is essential for remote control and smart home integration.

Control methods

The smart bulbs can be controlled using several methods depending on your setup:

• Aigostar Remote: Requires a separate remote control.
• DC Dimmer: Requires a compatible DC dimmer switch.
• Amazon Alexa: Requires an Amazon Echo device.
• Aigo Smart App: The primary method for configuration and control.
• Aigostar Bluetooth Mesh Gateway: Recommended for extended range and remote control capabilities.

Setup and configuration

To set up your smart bulb, follow these steps:

1. Download the Aigo Smart app from the App Store or Google Play.
2. Ensure the bulb is in pairing mode. To enter pairing mode, turn the bulb on and off three times (on-off-on-off-on).
3. Open the Aigo Smart app and follow the in-app instructions to add the device.
4. If using an Amazon Echo, ensure the Aigo Smart skill is enabled in the Alexa app and the account is linked.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your smart bulb, check the following:

• Connection failure: Ensure the bulb is within 20 meters of the Amazon Echo or Bluetooth Mesh Gateway. Obstacles like walls can reduce the effective range.
• Alexa control issues: Verify that the Aigo Smart app is correctly linked to your Alexa account and that both the app and the Echo device are updated to the latest version.
• Device not found: Ensure the bulb is in pairing mode (on-off-on-off-on) before attempting to add it in the app.
