Quick guide from the manual
The Baseus PortalJoy Series 13-Port HUB is a high-performance docking station. To ensure proper functionality, please note the following critical requirements:

- Type-C Port Requirement: The Type-C port on your host device must be "full-featured," meaning it supports charging, data transfer, and DP Alt Mode. If your port is not full-featured, functions like screen mirroring or extension may not work.
- Display Limitation: The HUB supports triple displays, but the HDMI 2 port and the VGA port cannot be used simultaneously.
- Heat Generation: It is normal for the HUB to generate heat during operation due to its built-in chip and high processing power. The metal shell is designed to dissipate this heat.
Device description and ports
The HUB features 13 ports to expand your connectivity. Below is a summary of the interface capabilities:
- USB 3.1 & Type-C 3.1: Support up to 10Gbps data transfer.
- USB 2.0: Supports up to 480Mbps.
- HDMI 1 & HDMI 2: Support 4K@60Hz (downward compatible with 4K@30Hz).
- DP: Supports 4K@60Hz.
- VGA: Supports 1080P@60Hz.
- PD: Supports 100W (Max) power input.
- SD/TF: Supports 60MB/s data transfer (does not support simultaneous card reading; only the first inserted card is recognized).
- 3.5mm: Supports CTIA earphones and speakers.
- RJ45: Supports 1000Mbps (downward compatible with 100Mbps/10Mbps).
- Indicator/Button: Flashing indicates the port is not full-featured or lacks video output support. Solid light indicates full support for screen casting, data, and charging.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
If you encounter issues, please check the following:
- HDMI Connection: If you cannot cast a screen, ensure you have selected the correct HDMI source on your monitor or TV (e.g., HDMI 1 or HDMI 2).
- Resolution Issues: The actual resolution depends on the hardware of the connected device (laptop, cable, display). If the connected hardware does not support the advertised resolution, the HUB cannot project at that level.
- Safety: Keep the product away from fire sources. Do not disassemble or repair the product yourself.

Common problems
Ensure the correct HDMI source is selected on your monitor or TV. Check if your device's Type-C port supports DP Alt Mode.
The resolution depends on the connected hardware (laptop, cable, monitor). Ensure all components support the desired resolution.
This is normal. The HUB uses a built-in chip that generates heat; the metal shell is designed for heat dissipation.
Before use
- Verify your device's Type-C port is 'full-featured' (supports charging, data, and DP Alt Mode).
- Ensure you are not attempting to use HDMI 2 and VGA ports at the same time.
- Check that your monitor/TV is set to the correct HDMI input source.
- Ensure the HUB is connected to a power source if using high-power peripherals.
Images and diagrams
- Port 12 (Indicator/Button): Flashing light means the port is not full-featured; solid light means it supports screen casting and data.
- HDMI 2 & VGA: These two ports cannot function simultaneously.
Model compatibility
- Compatible with Windows, Apple OS, Linux, and Vista.
- Requires a full-featured Type-C port for video output and extension features.
