Important Information
This installation guide applies to the 12V side of the Lucci Pier LED Deck Light only. This luminaire is classified as ELV (Extra Low Voltage) and is suitable for DIY installation, provided the instructions are followed correctly. Do not plug this luminaire directly into 240V mains power; a licensed electrician is required for any 240V work.
Note: The Lucci wiring kit (SKU# 220826, 220827) and Lucci transformer (SKU# 220818, 220819, 220829, 220843) are required for installation and are sold separately.
Installation Requirements
- Location: Suitable for deck installation only. Not suitable for ceiling or wall installations.
- Water Protection: The luminaire is IP65 rated. Ensure the installation location allows for water drainage. Wiring kits and connectors are not designed to be immersed in water and should not be installed underground without protection.
- Mounting: The mounting point must support at least twice the weight of the luminaire.
- Wiring: Adhere to local and national wiring rules (e.g., AS/NZS 3000).
- Preparation: Ensure power to the circuit is switched OFF before starting. Lay out all components on a smooth surface to check for missing or damaged parts.
Installation Directions

- Remove all packaging material.
- Cut an installation hole of 33mm diameter into the mounting point.
- Connect the luminaire to the Lucci wiring kit. Ensure the connector is fully tightened. Note that the wiring kit is rated for a maximum 80VA load.
- Install the luminaire into the prepared hole.
- Connect the Lucci wiring kit to the Lucci transformer. Do not exceed the rated load of the wiring kit (80VA) or the transformer (28VA/10VA depending on the model).
- Insert the plug into the mains power socket and ensure it is fully plugged in.
- Switch on the luminaire to test all lighting functions.
Safety Tips
- Always ensure the power is OFF and the luminaire has cooled down before performing maintenance, cleaning, or adjustments.
- The external flexible cable cannot be replaced; if damaged, the entire luminaire must be destroyed.
- Do not use the luminaire if the protective shield is cracked; replace the shield before use.
- The light source is not replaceable; when it reaches the end of its life, the whole luminaire must be replaced.
- Do not use with dimmer switches; doing so will void the warranty.
- Clean with a soft damp cloth. Do not soak or immerse in water or use abrasive cleaners.
