Quick guide from the manual

This document provides installation instructions for the Hinkley Hardscape Light. Always turn off the power supply before starting any installation or maintenance to prevent electrical shock.

Electrical requirements

The luminaire is designed for use with Hinkley-approved 12V AC systems or Nexus 15V DC systems. For dimming functionality, use an MLV-type dimmer control on the 120V AC side of the 12V AC transformer.

Wiring instructions

To connect the light:

  • Strip the two wire leads from the luminaire.
  • Connect the leads to the main supply wire using silicone-filled wirenuts.
  • Ensure the wire is protected by routing it in close proximity to the luminaire or building structure.
  • Wiring should be buried a maximum of 6 inches (15.2 cm).
  • The main supply wire must be cut within 6 inches (15.2 cm) of the building structure, luminaire, or fitting.

Mounting instructions

The fixture supports three mounting types. Ensure the mounting surface is prepared with the correct hole depth and diameter as specified in the diagrams.
