Assembly

Maintenance

Regular maintenance is necessary to ensure the longevity and safety of the go-kart.

Maintenance Scheme

• Daily: Check tires for wear and pressure.
• Monthly: Clean and check all nuts and bolts; check frame for cracks; check chain tension and grease; lubricate moving parts.
• Half Yearly: Check functioning of bearings, chain, hub, sprockets, and axles.
• Yearly: Clean plastic parts and check for damage.

Specific Maintenance Activities

• Frame: Clean regularly. If using grease, use only acid-free substances. Treat damaged areas with paint.
• Wheels/Tires: Check rims and tires for cuts, cracks, or bulges. Keep tires free of oil, grease, or fuel.
• Chain Tensioning: The go-kart has two chains. Always tension the rear/short chain first. The rear chain is correctly tensioned if the middle can be pushed 6mm downwards. The front chain should have 1cm of downward play.
• Crank Adjustment: After initial use, tighten the mounting bolts (max 30Nm) to prevent play and damage to the crank axle.
• Hub Gear Tuning: Remove the protective hood, ensure the hub is in 2nd gear, loosen the small nut on the adjustment rod, and rotate the rod to position the grip shift cable correctly.

Warranty

The frame and other parts have a 2-year warranty from the date of purchase. Parts liable to wear and tear (chains, tires) are excluded. Warranty claims require the original purchase receipt and the product serial number found on the frame.
