The BOSS BCB-1000 is a portable pedal board case designed for guitarists. This guide covers the essential setup, including connecting your equipment, routing cables, and safety precautions for transport and use.
Connecting the Equipment
The pedal board features integrated jacks on the plate for easy connectivity:
- INPUT jack: Connect your guitar here.
- OUTPUT A/B jacks: Connect your guitar amp. Use both for stereo output or separate outputs.
- SEND jack: Connect to the input of your effect unit.
- RETURN A/B jacks: Connect to the output of your effect unit.
Removing the Plate
To achieve a clean layout by routing cables behind the plate:

- Turn the bottom case over.
- Loosen the coin screws at the four corners.
- Remove the plate.
- After routing cables, reattach the plate, ensuring cables are not pinched between the case and the plate, then tighten the screws.
Safety and Maintenance
- Transport: Use the top handle to carry the case. Use the pulling handle and casters to pull the case.
- Casters: Keep them free of sand, dust, or threads to prevent malfunctions. Do not use on stairs.
- Cleaning: Never use benzine, thinners, alcohol, or solvents to avoid deformation or discoloration.
- Safety: Do not climb on the unit or place heavy objects on it. Be careful not to pinch fingers when handling the case, handles, or plate.

Common problems
Check for sand, dust, or threads wrapped around the casters and clean them.
Ensure cables are properly routed through the slits and not trapped between the bottom case and the plate when tightening the coin screws.

- Ensure the top case fasteners are clicked into place before carrying.
- Check that the pulling handle is adjusted to the correct length.
- Verify all effect units are secured using hook-and-loop fasteners.
- Confirm all cable connections to the plate jacks are secure.
