Installation and Wiring

The unit is designed for 12V negative ground vehicle systems. Use only the provided ISO connectors for installation. If your vehicle does not have an ISO connector, use the provided ISO loom cable to prevent incorrect wiring, which can void the warranty.

  • Warning: The negative speaker lead must not be grounded, as this will damage the radio.

DAB Antenna Installation

For optimal DAB reception, the antenna must be installed correctly:

  1. Place the antenna on the windshield near the 'A' post.
  2. Stick the transparent part of the antenna onto the windshield.
  3. Attach the black (magnetic) part to the metal frame of the car.
  4. Connect the antenna power supply wire (blue/white) to the remote/antenna wire of the head unit.

Operation

DAB Settings: Press the [MOD] button to switch to DAB mode. Upon first use, the system will automatically search and store stations. To re-scan, long-press the [BND/AMS] button.

Bluetooth: Press the [MOD/CLK] button to open Bluetooth. Search for 'RMD034DAB-BT' on your mobile phone and pair using the code '0000'. Once connected, 'Linked BT' will appear on the display.

Playback: The unit automatically switches to USB or SD mode when a device is inserted (max 32GB). Use the [MOD] button to cycle through sources.

Reset: If the unit becomes unresponsive, use a non-metallic pointed object to press the reset button for 5 seconds to restore factory settings.
