The Caliber RMD 033DAB-BT is a car radio featuring DAB+ tuner, Bluetooth connectivity, USB, SD card, and AUX input. Before using the unit, ensure your vehicle has a 12V negative ground electrical system. For initial setup, use the MOD button to switch modes and the BND/AMS button to perform an automatic station scan for DAB and FM radio. Bluetooth pairing requires searching for 'RMD033DAB-BT' on your phone and entering '0000' if prompted.
Device overview
The front panel features a rotary volume knob, a display, and various buttons for power, mode selection, band switching, and track control. The unit also includes a USB port, a MicroSD card slot, and a 3.5mm AUX-IN jack. A reset button is available to restore factory settings if the unit becomes unresponsive.

Installation and wiring
The unit uses standard ISO connectors. If your vehicle does not have an ISO connector, use the provided ISO loom cable. Warning: The negative speaker lead must not be grounded, as this will damage the radio. Ensure all connections are secure and wires are stripped before connecting.

DAB antenna installation
For optimal DAB reception, the antenna must be installed correctly:
- Place the antenna on the windshield near the 'A-post'.
- Remove the cover of the A-post.
- Stick the transparent part of the antenna on the windshield.
- Attach the black (magnetic) part to the metal frame of the car.
- Connect the antenna power supply wire (blue/white) to the 12V remote wire of the head unit.
Operation
Radio: Use the MOD button to select Tuner mode. Long press the BND/AMS button to start an automatic scan. The unit stores the 18 strongest stations across three bands (DAB1, DAB2, DAB3).
Bluetooth: Press the MOD/CLK button to open Bluetooth. Once paired, you can stream audio (A2DP) and manage calls using the radio buttons. Press the answer button to pick up calls and the hang-up button to reject or end calls.
Media: Inserting a USB stick or SD card (up to 32GB) automatically switches the unit to the respective playback mode.
