Safety warnings

DANGER: Using a generator indoors can kill you in minutes. Generator exhaust contains carbon monoxide, a poison you cannot see or smell. Never use the generator inside a home or garage, even if doors and windows are open. Only use the generator outdoors and far away from windows, doors, and vents.

NOTICE: Keep all objects at least 5 feet (1.5 m) from the generator. Heat from the muffler and exhaust gas can ignite combustible materials.

  • Add oil: Use 10W-30 oil. The capacity is up to 11.8 fl. oz. (350 ml). Do not overfill.
  • Move outdoors: Ensure the generator is placed in a well-ventilated area, away from structures.
  • Add fuel: Add gasoline to the fuel tank. Do not use E15 or E85 fuel.
  • Disconnect devices: Ensure no electrical devices are plugged into the generator before starting.

Starting the generator

Follow these steps in order to start the engine:
