This document provides instructions for the CLAS CH 0005, CH 0006, and CH 0007 direct gas heaters. These devices are designed for industrial use only and require adequate ventilation. They must not be used in basements or enclosed spaces without proper air circulation. Always maintain a safety distance of 2 meters from walls and flammable objects.

Assembly
Follow these steps to assemble the heater:
- Fix the foot to the base using the provided screws.
- Attach the handle to the commutating box using the provided screws.
Gas connection
Ensure you use only Propane (G31) or Butane (G30) gas, or a mixture. The gas cylinder must be placed behind the device.
- Connect the pressure reducer (with safety valve) and the gas hose.
- Note that junctions are left-threaded; turn counter-clockwise to tighten.
- Check for leaks by applying soapy water to the connections; bubbles indicate a leak.
- Ensure the gas hose is fully extended and not obstructed.
Operation
Starting the heater:

- Open the gas cylinder valve.
- Turn on the fan using the white switch.
- Press and hold the gas button while repeatedly pressing the piezoelectric lighter until the flame ignites.
- Continue to hold the gas button for 15-20 seconds after ignition to activate the thermal safety devices.
- Release the button; the flame should remain lit.
Stopping the heater:
- Close the gas cylinder valve.
- Allow the fan to run for a few seconds to cool the unit.
- Turn off the fan using the white switch.
Maintenance
Before any maintenance, disconnect the power supply. The air outlet and nozzle are accessible by removing the control box cover (4 screws). Regularly clean the burner if used in dusty environments. Check electrode distances periodically.

Troubleshooting
If the motor does not start, check the power cable, fan, and switch. If the flame does not ignite, check the electrode distance, gas supply, and gas valve. If the flame extinguishes shortly after ignition, ensure the gas button was held long enough or check the safety chain. If the flame has a white luminous outline, clean the air inlet or adjust the pressure/nozzle.
Technical data
All models operate on 230V - 50Hz. The operating pressure is 1.5 Bar (21.75 Psi). Power output varies by model: CH 0005 (12kW), CH 0006 (15kW), CH 0007 (30kW).

Practical help
Common problems
Check the power supply cable, fan, and switch for faults.
Check electrode distance, ensure gas supply is open, or check for a faulty gas valve.
Hold the gas button down longer (up to 20 seconds) or check the temperature sensor distance.
Clean the air inlet or adjust the gas pressure/nozzle.
Before use
- Ensure the room has adequate ventilation.
- Verify the gas type is Propane or Butane.
- Check that the pressure reducer and hose are intact.
- Perform a leak test on connections using soapy water.
- Ensure the heater is on a fire-resistant floor.
- Maintain a 2-meter safety distance from objects.
Images and diagrams
- The electrical diagram illustrates the power cable, switch, gas valve, piezo lighter, electrode, thermocouple, safety thermostat, fan motor, and electrovalve connections.
Model compatibility
- Use only Propane (G31) or Butane (G30).
- Not for domestic use.
- Do not use in basements or below ground level.
- Do not use for continuous heating of stables or farms.
