The Cobra 19MINICB is an ultra-compact recreational CB radio. This document provides essential instructions for daily operation, menu navigation, and configuration of squelch and audio settings. Ensure the antenna is properly installed and the radio is powered correctly before use.
Device Overview
The radio features a front-facing LCD display, a microphone with PTT (Push-To-Talk) and channel up/down buttons, and a main unit with volume/power control, menu/lock button, and squelch control. External speaker and antenna jacks are located on the rear.

Operating the Radio
- Power: Press and release the POWER button to turn on. Press and hold to turn off.
- Volume: Turn the POWER button clockwise to increase volume, counter-clockwise to decrease.
- Channel Control: Press the POWER button to enter channel selection, then turn the button to change the channel. Press POWER again to confirm.
- Squelch Control: Press the SQ/ASQ button to adjust squelch (1-34) or Auto Squelch (ASQ 1-9). Use the channel buttons to adjust the level.
- VOX: Press and hold the PTT switch on the microphone to activate. Use the menu to configure VOX sensitivity and delay.
Menu Options
Access the menu by pressing the MENU button. Use the POWER button to select functions and the microphone UP/DN buttons to adjust settings:
- KEY BP: Beep (on/off)
- ROG BP: Roger Beep (off/tones 01-06)
- VOX L: VOX Sensitivity (01-09)
- VOX T: VOX Delay (01-09)
- RF.GAIN: RF Gain Control (03, 06, 09-48)
- TOTSET: Time Out Timer (off, 01-10 minutes)
- PWR.AUTO: Automatic Power On (on/off)
- FU VER: Firmware Version
Safety and Compliance
This device complies with FCC Part 15 and Industry Canada RSS standards. Ensure a minimum distance of 45.5cm (USA) or 54.1cm (Canada) from the body during operation. The maximum supported antenna gain is 5 dBi. Do not short the external speaker output as it uses a Bridge Tied Load (BTL) design.

Common problems
The keypad may be locked. Press and hold the MENU button for 3 seconds to unlock.
Perform a factory reset by entering the menu, selecting RESET, and holding the POWER button until it stops blinking.

- Check that the external speaker (if used) is compatible with 8 Ohm impedance.
