Quick Start Guide

For optimal performance, fully charge your Cobra Jump Starter 800A prior to first use and every 12 months. This device is designed for gasoline and diesel-powered passenger cars and light-duty trucks with batteries that are not completely discharged.

Jump Starting Your Vehicle

  1. Connect the jumper cable clamps to the battery terminals. Always connect the Red clamp to the Positive terminal first, then the Black clamp to the Negative terminal.
  2. Connect the jumper cables to the Jump Starter 800A.
  3. Wait for the Green LED light to appear on the jump start cable, then start your vehicle.
  4. Once the vehicle starts, disconnect the jump start cable from the Jump Starter 800A, then disconnect from the battery.

Charging Your Devices

To charge a 5V USB device, connect the device's cable to either the USB-A or USB-C output port. Press the power button to wake the Jump Starter from standby mode and begin charging. The LED battery charge bar will illuminate to indicate charging is in progress.

Re-charging Your Jump Starter

The Jump Starter 800A is recharged through the USB-C input/output port. You can use the included charging cable or any compatible USB-C charging cable. The LED battery charge bar will show the current charge level and turn off automatically when fully charged.

LED Flashlight Operation

  • On/Off: Press and hold the Power/Flashlight button for 2 seconds to turn the light on. Press again to turn it off.
  • Strobe Mode: Turn the light on, then quickly press the button within 2 seconds to activate Strobe mode.
  • SOS Mode: While in Strobe mode, quickly press the button again within 2 seconds to switch to SOS mode.

Safety Instructions

  • Keep the unit clear of fire and water.
  • Do not insert fingers or foreign objects into the ports.
  • Do not use in areas with flammable fumes or gases.

  • No LED: Connection not detected or battery depleted.
  • Solid Red: Reverse polarity. Reverse the clamps.
  • Flashing Red: Over-current protection. Wait 30 seconds and retry.
  • Solid Yellow: Solid contact established and charging for jump start.
  • Flashing Yellow: Cables not properly connected or unit too hot.
  • Red and Green Flashing: Overheating protection. Remove cable and wait a few minutes.
  • Solid Green: Ready to jump start.
