Quick guide from the manual

The Danfoss CF-RC Remote Controller is designed for the CF2 heating system. Key installation steps include installing all Room Thermostats first, removing the battery strip to activate the remote, and performing the assignment to the Master Controller within 1.5 meters. Always verify transmission with a link test before final wall mounting.

Functional Overview

The front of the device features a display, two soft keys, and up/down/left/right selectors for menu navigation. Icons on the display indicate system alarms, communication status with the Master Controller, power supply status, and low battery warnings.

Installation

Master Controller: Activate the Install mode on the Master Controller. The install LED will flash, then turn solid when active.

Remote Controller: Once batteries are connected, follow the on-screen installation guide to select the language. Set the time and date using the selectors. You can name the rooms where the Room Thermostats are placed to simplify system management.

Mounting

The Remote Controller can be wall-mounted using the included back plate/docking station. This allows for a 230V power supply connection via the included transformer. When not in the docking station, the unit is powered by two AA 1.5V alkaline batteries. Always perform a link test from the desired location before mounting.

Rooms

Access a list of all rooms in the system. You can view set and actual temperatures, and check for alarms or low battery status in specific rooms.

Program

Configure time programming options, including a Period program (e.g., for holidays) and a Setback program to divide rooms into up to six zones with different temperature schedules.

Setup

Access system settings including language, date and time, alarm buzzer configuration, and service settings for configuring Master Controller outputs for floor or radiator heating.

Alarms

If an error occurs, it is indicated on the display. The Alarm log saves recent errors for easier system failure identification.

Uninstallation

To reset the Remote Controller, press and hold Soft key 1, Soft key 2, and the down selector simultaneously. Confirm with 'yes' to reset the unit for new installation.
