Quick Guide

This document provides instructions for the Danfoss CF-RS Standard Room Thermostat. Before use, ensure you remove the battery strips to activate the device. During the pairing process with the Master Controller, keep the thermostat within 1.5 meters of the controller. The thermostat is designed for wireless communication and can be assigned to multiple outputs if required.

Functional Overview

The thermostat features a front-mounted turning knob and push button for operation, with a red LED indicator located behind the cover. The LED provides status feedback:

  • Permanent light: ON
  • No light: OFF
  • Slow flashing: Flashes
  • Fast flashing: Flickers

The back of the unit contains the back plate, battery compartment, and mounting points.

Installation

To pair the thermostat with the Master Controller:

  1. Activate the Install mode on the Master Controller using the menu selection button. The Install LED will flash.
  2. Press OK on the Master Controller to activate. The Install LED will turn ON.
  3. Press the push button on the Room Thermostat. The LED on the thermostat and the Master Controller will flicker during communication.
  4. Select the desired output on the Master Controller using the output selection button and confirm with OK.
  5. The installation status is confirmed when the thermostat LED turns OFF. If it flashes 5 times, the installation was not successful.

Transmission Test

To verify the connection:

  1. Press the push button on the Room Thermostat. The LED will turn ON.
  2. If the link is satisfactory, the LED will turn OFF.
  3. If the link is unsatisfactory, the LED will flash 5 times.
  4. If there is no link, try relocating the thermostat or installing a Repeater Unit (CF-RU) between the Master Controller and the thermostat.

Mounting

For optimal performance, install the thermostat in a location that avoids direct sunlight, drafts, and heat sources such as televisions or other heaters. Use the provided back plate and screws to mount the unit to the wall.

Uninstallation

To remove the thermostat from the Master Controller:

  1. Activate the Uninstall mode on the Master Controller.
  2. Select the output to be removed using the output selection button.
  3. Confirm the removal with the OK button.
