The Deante KON series linear slot drain requires precise installation to ensure effective water drainage. Key requirements include maintaining a 2-3% slope towards the outlet, applying waterproofing foil up to a height of 1.5m, and allowing 24 hours for silicone sealant to cure before use.
Assembly and Preparation
Begin by assembling the drain components. Attach the mounting brackets to the drain body using the provided hardware. Ensure all feet and leveling screws are securely attached to the drain body to allow for height adjustment during installation.
Installation and Leveling
Place the drain in the designated location. Use a spirit level to verify the installation angle. It is critical to maintain a slope of 2-3% towards the drain outlet to prevent water pooling. Verify the slope is at least 2.5% before proceeding with concrete or screed application.
Waterproofing and Finishing
Once the drain is leveled and secured, apply waterproofing foil to the surrounding area. The foil should be applied up to a height of 1.5m on the walls to ensure a watertight seal. After the floor is tiled, apply silicone sealant around the edges of the drain grate. Allow the silicone to cure for at least 24 hours before using the shower. Finally, insert the grate into the drain body.
