Quick Guide for Della Air Conditioner

This guide covers the operation and installation of the Della 048-TL-WAC8K32 series air conditioner. Before using the device, ensure it is installed in a grounded 3-prong outlet and that the window opening is between 23 and 36 inches wide. Always use two people to move and install the unit to prevent injury.

Installation and Assembly

The unit requires assembly of the top rail and side panels before installation in a window. Follow these steps:

• Attach the top mounting rail to the unit using the provided screws.
• Place the unit in the window opening, ensuring it is tilted about 3 degrees downward toward the rear for proper condensate drainage.
• Extend the side filler panels to the window frame.
• Secure the unit using the provided lock frames and screws into the window sash and sill.
• If the unit is blocked by a storm window, add wood shims or remove the storm window to ensure proper fit and drainage.

Operating Your Air Conditioner

The unit can be controlled via the electronic control panel or the included remote control. Key modes include:

• Cool Mode: Cools the room and reduces humidity.
• Dry Mode: Reduces room humidity.
• Fan Mode: Provides ventilation only; fan speed can be adjusted (Hi, Med, Lo).
• Auto Mode: Automatically selects fan speed and operation mode based on room temperature.
• Eco Mode: Turns the unit off once the room reaches the set temperature and cycles the fan to save energy.
• Sleep Mode: Adjusts temperature and fan speed for comfort during the night.

Note: If you turn off the air conditioner, wait at least 3 minutes before turning it back on to prevent circuit breaker tripping.

Maintenance and Care

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance:

• Air Filter: Check at least once a month. Slide the filter out from the front right side, wash with warm water and mild soap, rinse, and let it dry completely before reinstalling.
• Cabinet Cleaning: Unplug the unit and wipe the cabinet with a damp cloth and mild soap. Never use harsh cleaners or wax.
• Winter Storage: Remove the unit from the window, clean it, and store it in the original box or cover with plastic.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues, check the following:

• Unit won't start: Ensure it is plugged in, check the fuse/circuit breaker, or press the RESET button on the LCDI plug.
• Not cooling: Check for blocked airflow (curtains/blinds), dirty filter, or incorrect temperature settings.
• Water dripping inside: Ensure the unit is tilted slightly downward toward the rear.
• Freezing up: Set the mode to HIGH FAN or HIGH COOL and increase the temperature setting.

Safety Information

This unit uses R32 refrigerant. Installation and maintenance must be performed by qualified personnel. Do not use extension cords or plug adapters. Always ensure the unit is grounded.
