Quick Guide from the Manual

The Dometic 2 Cook 3 is a portable gas stove designed for outdoor use. Before using the appliance, ensure it is placed on a firm, level surface and that you have adequate ventilation. Always check for gas leaks using soapy water before lighting. The appliance uses a hose and regulator to connect to a gas cylinder. Lighting is achieved using the built-in piezo igniter or a BBQ lighter.

Safety Information

  • For outdoor use only.
  • Do not use in unventilated areas.
  • Keep gas containers away from heat and flames.
  • Accessible parts may be very hot; keep children away.
  • Do not modify the appliance.
  • If you smell gas, turn off the gas supply immediately and move to a flame-free location.

Assembly and Connection

The appliance requires an approved hose and regulator. Ensure the rubber seal on the regulator is in good condition before connecting. Connect the hose to the valve tailpiece and ensure it is properly seated. Always check for leaks by applying soapy water to the joints; bubbles indicate a leak.

Operating the Appliance

Lighting with Piezo

  1. Remove cooking surfaces to easily see the burner.
  2. Push and turn the control knob 90 degrees anti-clockwise.
  3. Press the piezo button to ignite.
  4. If it does not ignite, turn the knob to OFF, wait 30 seconds, and repeat.

Lighting with a BBQ Lighter

For cold starts, you can light the burner from the top. When hot, insert a BBQ lighter through one of the vent holes under the burner (do not use the large hole directly under the burner) and turn the control knob anti-clockwise.

GreenGrill Cooking

Most cooking surfaces feature a GreenGrill ceramic coating. Seasoning the surface before first use is recommended: rub lightly with cooking oil and heat on medium for 2-3 minutes. Always use silicone or wooden utensils to protect the coating. Clean surfaces only after they have cooled completely using warm soapy water.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting

Regular cleaning prolongs the life of the appliance. If the burner flame is weak or non-existent, the jet may be blocked. To replace a blocked jet: remove cooking surfaces, turn the unit upside down, remove the bottom panel, unscrew the burner, and replace the jet (K) using a suitable spanner. Do not use pliers on the jet.
