This manual provides instructions for the Draper 98676 and 98677 pressure washers. These units are designed for outdoor cleaning tasks such as vehicles, caravans, and driveways. Important: Always ensure the machine is switched off before plugging it in and never run the motor dry. The machine must be used in an upright position.
Assembly
Before use, assemble the unit following these steps:

- Transport Handle: Slide the handle section over the mounting points and secure with the 2 supplied screws.
- Lance Holder and Cable Hook: Attach these to the designated location points on the main body.
- Lance and Nozzles: Connect the lance to the trigger assembly by pushing and turning 45 degrees anti-clockwise. Push-fit nozzles into the lance until they click.
- Hose Reel (98677 only): Position the reel in the handle recess and secure with 4 screws.
- High Pressure Hose: Connect to the trigger assembly and the high-pressure outlet on the machine.
- Water Supply: Screw the inlet adaptor to the machine and connect a water hose. Ensure the supply is between 1.5bar and 6.0bar with a flow of 7 litres/min.
Operation
The pressure washer features a Total Stop Device, which starts and stops the motor when the trigger is activated. To start the machine:
- Ensure the switch is in the OFF (O) position.
- Connect the water supply and turn it on.
- Pull the trigger to bleed air from the system.
- While holding the trigger, switch the power to ON (I).
- Release the trigger when air is purged.
After use, switch off the power, turn off the water, pull the trigger to release pressure, and disconnect the hoses.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting
Regular maintenance ensures longevity. If the motor pulses, there is likely air in the system; follow the bleeding procedure (connect water, turn on, run for 20-30 seconds, then attach hose). Use the provided cleaning pin to clear blockages in the nozzle. If the pump fails to start, check the fuse or power cable.

Safety
Always wear appropriate PPE (goggles, gloves). Never point the jet at people, animals, or electrical equipment. Do not store the machine at or below 0°C to prevent frost damage.
