Quick guide from the manual
This document provides instructions for the Einhell 18V Power X-Change battery, specifically regarding its capacity conversion feature, charge level monitoring, and troubleshooting. The battery is supplied in the 4.0 Ah (72 Wh) configuration but can be converted to 6.0 Ah (108 Wh) for longer runtime, or back to 4.0 Ah for extended total service life.
Battery capacity conversion
The battery can be converted between two modes using a 9-digit key sequence entered via the capacity indicator button (A).

- Hold the capacity indicator button (A) for approximately 6 seconds until the display (B) starts counting from 1 to 9. Release the button.
- To convert from 4.0 Ah to 6.0 Ah: Press button (A) briefly when the number 6 appears.
- To convert from 6.0 Ah to 4.0 Ah: Press button (A) briefly when the number 4 appears.
- After the display counts to 9, the new capacity (6Ah or 4Ah) will be shown for about 2 seconds.
Important: Conversion only occurs if the button is pressed precisely when the digit 4 or 6 appears. After conversion, the battery is treated as a different device with a new article number. New specification labels can be obtained at www.isc-gmbh.info.
Battery charge level indicator
Press the button (A) briefly. The display (B) will show the charge status in % for 2 seconds, followed by the currently set capacity for 2 seconds. Note that the charge level may need to be adjusted after conversion; it is recommended to charge the battery after changing the capacity setting.
Safety and transport
For transport according to special provision 188, the battery must be set to the 4.0 Ah (72 Wh) configuration. Defective batteries must not be sent normally; contact iSC GmbH at Eschenstrasse 6, 94405 Landau/Isar, Germany, or visit www.isc-gmbh.info.
