This document provides essential operating instructions for the Einhell Power X-Boostcharger 8A. It is designed for use with Power-X-Change series lithium-ion batteries only. The charger features a standard charging mode and a faster Boost mode.
Device Description
The charger consists of the main charging unit, a power cable, and a Boost button used to toggle between standard and high-speed charging modes.
Operation
- Remove the battery pack from the tool by pressing the pushlock button.
- Ensure your mains voltage matches the charger's rating plate. Plug the charger into a socket; the green LED will flash.
- Insert the battery pack into the charger.
- To use Boost mode, press the Boost button. The blue LED will indicate that Boost mode is active.
Wall Mounting
The charger can be mounted on a wall. Use the dimensions on the back of the unit to drill holes. Maintain a distance of at least 10 cm from the wall (left and right) and 100 cm from the ceiling. Use suitable screws (e.g., 3.5 mm pan-head screws) to prevent damage or falling.
Safety
For indoor use in dry rooms only. Do not expose to rain or splash water. Keep away from heat sources. If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or qualified personnel to avoid hazards. Do not disassemble the charger.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Always unplug the charger before cleaning. Wipe the surface with a dry cloth. There are no user-serviceable parts inside.
Charger Indicator Status
The charger uses LED indicators to show status:
- Green flashing: Ready for use.
- Green on: Battery charged and ready.
- Red on: Charging in normal mode.
- Blue on: Boost mode active.
- Red/Green flashing: Fault (defective battery).
- Red/Green on: Temperature fault (too hot/cold).
