Table of contents
Quick Start Guide
To begin using your PITCH FORK+, follow these steps:
- Power: Connect the included EHX 9.6VDC/200mA power supply to the 9V jack. The pedal requires at least 120mA.
- Connections: Connect your instrument to the INPUT jack and your amplifier to the MAIN OUTPUT jack using standard 1/4 inch instrument cables.
- AUX Output: If using a second amplifier, connect it to the AUX OUTPUT jack.
- Expression/Controller: Connect an expression pedal to the EXP jack or an external 3-button foot controller to the EXT jack using TRS cables.
Controls and Display
The pedal features several controls for shaping your sound:
- Knobs: DRY, SHIFT 1, and SHIFT 2 control the volume levels of their respective signals. The VALUE knob is a rotary encoder used to adjust parameters, enter sub-menus, and save presets.
- Display: The 4-character display shows current parameter values. A dot in the lower right corner indicates that a sub-menu is available; press the VALUE knob to enter it.
- Footswitches: The BYPASS footswitch toggles the effect on/off. The USER footswitch is programmable and works independently.
Overview of Modes
The PITCH FORK+ has eight modes accessed via illuminated buttons:
- AUX: Selects which channels are sent to the AUX output and configures how the BYPASS footswitch affects it.
- SHIFT 1 & 2: Sets the transposition amount for each shift engine (up to +/- 3 octaves) and allows for detuning.
- EXP: Configures how an expression pedal or control voltage signal affects pitch (FREQ), glissando (GLIS), or volume (VOL).
- USER: Programs the function of the USER footswitch.
- X-MOD: Accesses cross-modulation settings for ring modulation and FM-style effects.
- PRESET: Manages loading and saving of presets.
- LATCH: Configures the BYPASS footswitch for latching or momentary operation.
Preset Management
The pedal includes 100 preset slots. To load a preset, enter PRESET mode, scroll with the VALUE knob, and press it to load. To save, select an empty slot, adjust your settings, and press and hold the VALUE knob for two seconds until the PRESET LED stops blinking. The LIVE template is available before slot 1 for creating new sounds.
External Control
The EXT jack supports external 3-button foot controllers (e.g., EHX Triple Foot Controller or Digitech FS3X). These allow you to cycle through modes, enter/exit sub-menus, load presets, and scroll through parameter values using the MODE, UP, and DOWN footswitches.
