Quick guide from the manual
The POG2 is a polyphonic octave generator capable of mixing your dry signal with four different octaves (two above and two below). It features programmable presets, attack envelope control, and a resonant low-pass filter. Important: Use only the supplied 9.6 VDC 200mA power adapter. The unit does not use batteries.
Controls and Operation
The POG2 uses a series of sliders to shape your sound:
- DRY OUTPUT: Adjusts the volume of your original signal.
- Octave Sliders (-2, -1, +1, +2): Control the volume of each generated octave signal.
- ATTACK: Controls the attack envelope; pushing it upward creates a swell or reverse effect.
- LP FILTER: Adjusts the cutoff frequency of the low-pass filter.
- DETUNE: Adjusts the detune amount for the +1 and +2 octave signals.
DRY FX Modes
The DRY FX button cycles through four modes for the dry signal:
- Off: Dry signal bypasses all effects.
- RED: Dry signal goes through Attack, bypasses Filter and Detune.
- GREEN: Dry signal goes through Attack and Filter, bypasses Detune.
- AMBER: Dry signal goes through all three effects.
Presets
The POG2 can store and load up to 8 presets. The state of the BYPASS footswitch is not saved.
- Saving: Set your desired sound, then press and hold the white PRESET knob for 3 seconds until the LEDs stop blinking.
- Loading: Use the PRESET knob to select a number and press it, or use the PRESET footswitch to cycle through saved presets.
Technical Specifications
- Input Impedance: 2 MΩ.
- Output Impedance: Approximately 800 Ω.
- Power Requirements: 9 VDC, 180 mA, center negative plug.
Practical help
Common problems
This indicates that a control (slider or button) has been moved or changed since the preset was loaded. Return the control to its original position to stop the blinking.
Check the DRY FX LED state. If it is off, the dry signal is bypassing all effects. Ensure the BYPASS footswitch is in effect mode (LED lit).
Before use
- Verify you are using the supplied 9.6 VDC 200mA power adapter.
- Ensure the power source is 9V DC with a center negative plug.
- Connect your instrument to the INPUT jack (1/4 inch).
- Connect your amplifier or output device to the OUTPUT jack (1/4 inch).
